Engine Block Bearings
Before doing any check on the caps and main
bearings, make sure that the numeration engraved on
the engine block corresponds to the bearing cap.
Install bearing caps and tighten according to the
specification.
Measure bearings diameter, out-of-roundness and
taper without bearing shells.
Measure bearing with the bore gauge at 30° to the left
and 30° to the right from the central position.
