10.4.3 Example 3: WLAN
WLAN is characterized by the following properties:
• Frequency ranges:
– 2.40 GHz – 2.497 GHz
– 5.15 GHz – 5.35 GHz
– 5.725 GHz – 5.825 GHz
• Number of channels:
– 2.4 GHz: 14 (overlapping), 3 (non-overlapping)
– 5 GHz: 12 (non-overlapping)
• Channel bandwidth:
– 10 MHz, 20 MHz, 40 MHz
– 20 MHz are most often used
• Cycle time: 0.25 ms – 2 ms
This results in the following settings:
Because of the large spread of possible setting values, it is not possible to
specify fixed values. However, two representative examples are given
below.
