5.17 LOW POWER OPERATION
FOR ANTENNA MAINTENANCE
Set the transmitter’s RF output to a safe
working RF level as follows:
(a) Reduce the active preset power level
to minimum power (see Table 1-1 for
minimum power levels for each mode).
For FM mode only, if further power
reduction is necessary, set the active
preset’s PA ALC to N (see 3.6.4) and
set the necessary number of switching
power supply modules to STANDBY
(toggle down) until the desired power is
achieved.
NOTE
For FM+HD or HD mode, if further power
reduction is necessary, contact Nautel.
(b) Perform antenna maintenance.
(c) When complete set the active preset’s
PA ALC to Y and switch all switching
power supply modules to ON (toggle
up). Press Reset in the Status screen
and return the transmitter to the
desired operating power level.
