7-Cable Method (7CM)
The 7-Cable Method allows you to use effects in different stages of
the signal chain (Pre and Post) in conjunction with an amplier and
cabinet.

The signal from devices placed
before the FX Loop blocks will
be sent straight to the ampliers’
inputs.
The signal from devices placed
after the FX Loop blocks will be
sent to the ampliers’ FX Loops.
1. Connect your instrument to INPUT 1.
2. Connect the ampliers’ inputs to SEND 1/2 respectively.
3. Connect the ampliers’ FX Sends to Quad Cortex’s RET 1/2
respectively.
4. Connect the ampliers’ FX Returns to Quad Cortex’s OUT 3/4
respectively.
5. Split the signal (A/B Split) and place FX Loops 1 and 2 on each
row after the split. Send the rows to OUT 3/4 respectively.
