Incoming MIDI Messages
Quad Cortex can receive CC and PC messages via MIDI DIN or USB
from external devices.
Incoming MIDI Program Change messages change Presets and
Setlists on Quad Cortex.
We use CC#32 for changing Setlists, supporting up to 12 Setlists
(value 0-12).
CC#0 is used for splitting up the Setlists in to groups of 128
Presets. Value 0 is used for Presets 0-127 and value 1 is used
for Presets 128-256.
MIDI Program Change messages (PC)
MIDI Continuous Controller messages (CC)
CC messages can be used for the following purposes:
Change Modes.
Recall Scenes.
Tap Tempo BPM control.
Footswitches control.
Gig View, Tuner, Looper X control.
To load theQuad Cortex Preset 9DinSetlist 9, you would send
the followingPC messageto the unit:
CC#0 value 0, CC#32 value 9, Program #67

To load theQuad Cortex Preset 17AinSetlist 5, you have send the
followingPC messageto the unit:
CC#0 value 1, CC#32 value 5, Program #0

and Program (PC) compose a
Program Change message.
CC#0: Bank Select (MSB)
CC#32: Setlist (LSB)

loaded.
