While you’re saving a route automatically, you can access any
of the unit’s navigating functions, except for editing the route
you’re presently saving. If, at any time, you’re unsure whether
you’re still saving a route, press the key,
then the menu key to display the ROUTES screen. If
you’re presently saving a route, the message SAVING TO:
appears at the bottom of the screen.
To stop saving a route as you travel:
When you want to stop saving the route, go to the ROUTES
screen directly, as described above. Press the
menu key. The unit prompts you with a question window, ask-
ing if you want to STOP SAVING TO ROUTE XXX?. Press the
key for “YES.”
Editing a route
You can edit a route by:
•
changing its name (from the CHART screen or from a way-
points list)
•
adding waypoints to the beginning (from the CHART
screen or from a waypoints list)
•
adding waypoints to the middle (from the CHART screen
or from a waypoints list)
•
adding waypoints to the end (from the CHART screen or
from a waypoints list)
•
removing waypoints (from the CHART screen or from a
waypoints list)
•
erasing the entire route (from a waypoints list)
Editing from the
chart screen
To edit a route from the CHART screen:
1. Press key and then the menu
key to display the ROUTES screen.
