4.1.4 Bin file generation
To run an application standalone on the chip, it must be compiled in release. To flash applications in mass-
storage mode, you need a binary file. In case the binary (.bin) file is not generated automatically, you can do it
manually by doing following:
1. Build your target application in release
2. Open release folder in MCUXpresso
3. Right-click on the *.axf file
4. Choose 'Binary Utilities' → 'Create binary' in the menu
5. The .bin should appear
