Securing the power wheelchair in the vehicle
1) Position the power wheelchair in the vehicle for
transporting persons with reduced mobility. For
more information, refer to section 5 in the brochure
"Transporting persons with reduced mobility",
order number 646D158.
2) Turn the control device off (see page58).
3) Verify brake locking. Engage the brakes if needed
(see page64).
4) Attach the vehicle side wheelchair restraint belts
(see next illustration).

Attaching vehicle side wheelchair restraint belts
1) Engage the hook of the vehicle side wheelchair
restraint belt from the outside respectively in the
rear mounting eyes (see fig.97, left).
2) Engage the hook of the vehicle side wheelchair
restraint belt from the outside respectively in the
front mounting eyes (see fig.97, right).
3) Tighten the front and rear attachment straps as
firmly as possible.
→ The product showing the correct positioning of the
attachment straps (see fig.96).

Version with standard seat and 20° power seat tilt
With this version, the power wheelchair has to be
secured with two vehicle side wheelchair restraint belts
respectively (see fig.98, item 1/2):
1) Top rear: Engage the hook of the vehicle side
wheelchair restraint belt from the outside respect
ively in the rear mounting eyes underneath the seat
surface (see fig.99, left).
2) Bottom rear: Engage the hook of the vehicle side
wheelchair restraint belt from the outside respect
ively in the rear mounting eyes next to the battery
cover (see fig.99, right).
3) Front: Engage the hook of the vehicle side wheel
chair restraint belt from the outside respectively in
the front mounting eyes (see fig.97, right).
4) Tighten the front and rear attachment straps as
firmly as possible.
