Accessing the switch
To access the switch’s interface:
1. Connect the managed switch to a power source. The PWR LED lights up and the fans
start.
2. Connect the switch to the network or directly to the router. Connect your computer to
the same network.
3. Navigate to the network router in order to find the DHCP table. Look for the host
name matching the model and MAC address of the switch and note the corresponding
IP address obtained by the switch.
4. Navigate to the IP address listed in the router DHCP table for the switch.
5. Enter the Username and Password. The default username is admin and the password
is
password.
Important: You must change this default username and password.
Navigating the switch
When you log in to the switch, you will see seven tabs: Overview, Connections, Configure,
Interfaces, Backup, Logs, and Advanced.
Click a tab to configure and start monitoring your switch. See below for a summary of
features on each tab.
