3.2 Input of AT Commands
The modem is operated from the controller (PLC, computer) by using AT commands according
to the Hayes Standard. Therefore the modem is in command mode which is reached after the
switching on and the termination of a connection (DIP 1 = OFF, DIP 2 = OFF).
After a connection has been established a change to data mode is automatically executed. With
the Escape command +++, you can get from the data mode to the command mode. You can
switch back to the data mode with ATO.
The commands are sent in ASCII code. A complete list of the AT commands that can be used is
given in the command tables (see "
Command Tables" on page 68).
If the changes you are carrying out by the input of AT commands have an
adverse effect on the functionality of your modem, you can reload the factory
settings with AT&F.
