The FP Modem-EU can be operated on a two-wire private cable network.

• DIP switch activation and selection:
- PC/RTS
- PLC
- Transparent mode
• Line speed 1200 bps fixed (bidirectional, V.23 half duplex)
• Sender control with:
- RTS handshake line
- Special character
- Idle time
• No automatic error handling by the modem
• Flexible setup of the terminating resistor
• DCD shows the network status
• Up to 20 km with 2-wire cable
