FP Modem-EU Technical Manual
5.2 Register Settings
5.2 Register Settings
The FP Modem-EU has a number of internal registers at its disposal, i.e. the S registers,
through which operation can be controlled. One can distinguish between two types of registers:
Normal registers, the value of which represents a time or a character
Bit mapped registers, in which a function is allocated to each bit.
The content of registers is represented as a decimal number.
The command set of the modem contains two commands with the help of which the content of a
register can be viewed or edited.
Command Function Content of the Register
ATSr?
With this command you can display the
content of the register with the number r.
The content is returned to the DTE as a
three-digit decimal number.
ATSr=n
The content of a register can be edited with
this command.
The number of the register is r and n is the
edited value.

It is advisable not to modify the contents of a bitmapped register directly.
Modifications should be carried out with the help of the respective AT
commands (see "
Command Tables" on page 68).
All registers that are marked with a * sign can be stored with the "AT&W" command. All other
registers contain the factory setting after a software reset or a power ON reset has been
executed.
In the following, you will find a list of the different registers.
