Set the port and baud rate of the PC:
RS-232C conversion board
SW1SW2
The following connection configuration is recommended for the recovery operation. As the control unit is not required,
disconnect it from the drive unit.
Before disconnecting the DVD/CD drive from the drive unit, disconnect the two cables that connect the SRV 1/SRV 2
Assys and SMAIN Assy.
Copy the folder of the downloaded software programs to
any directory of the PC.
Settings on the PC vary depending on the
operating system. Information on those settings,
including the operation policy, will be announced
through the PSN.
Set the two switches on the RS-232C conversion board
as follows:
Settings on the PC
Port: COM1
Baud rate: 9,600 bps
Settings of the switches on the
RS-232C conversion board
SW1: TEST MODE
SW2: OTHER
You can copy the folder to the Windows desktop.

(PF05PP-C37/5-pin)
Be careful not to apply excess load to the
PH cable that is connected to the SRV
Assy, as it may be damaged by a load of
the DVD/CD drive.

Be sure to turn off the drive unit before disconnecting and reconnecting the DVD/CD drive from/to the
drive unit. Also, before turning on the unit, make sure that the Board Assy is not in contact with the chassis.
