Flywheel Removal / Inspection
1. Before removing the flywheel, remove the shaft collar (A)
from the crankshaft. NOTE: Shaft collar installation is
important for proper loading of the flywheel upon
reassembly.
2. Install Flywheel Adapter PA-49936 and Puller PA-45153
and remove the flywheel.
NOTE: PA-45153 has left-hand threads which
correspond with the left-hand threads on PA-49936.
Use caution to avoid thread damage to flywheel or
tools.
3. Inspect the flywheel for loose components, cracks or other
damage. Replace flywheel if any damage is found.
CAUTION
Avoid damage to the flywheel or crankshaft end.
Do not strike components or special tools with
hammers or heavy objects.
