APPENDIX
A2
a. Frequency Range select from a preset or use a specific range by specifying a start
frequency and a stop frequency.
b. Start, Interval, and Duration select an interval and a total time for recording. The
minimum interval is 5 seconds. You can also schedule a start time for the Trace Record
Waterfall session.
i. To adjust the interval or duration, each portion of the field (d, hr, min, sec) can
be selected individually and adjusted using either the up and down arrow keys
or the numeric keypad.
ii. Because of the size of each trace that is stored, the trace record waterfall can
quickly consume a lot of storage space. As you adjust the interval and total time
for your trace record waterfall, the information at the bottom of the dialog box
will display the number of traces that will be included in your recording session
and how much disk space will be required. If you do not have enough free
space available, the OSCOR unit will not let you begin the recording. Either
increase the interval with which you are recording or decrease the duration of
your recording. Each trace captured is a peak interval, so no spikes in RF energy
that occur between intervals will be missed. During the interval specified in the
Waterfall Setup, each peak that occurs is collected and will be displayed as part
of the next captured trace.
