REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
a parts always to be replaced: exhaust gas recir-
culation solenoid valve seal (11,07,01,13).
a Use a SURFACE CLEANER (see Vehicle: Parts
and ingredients for the repairwork) (04B, Consu-
mables - Products) to clean and degrease the sea-
ling surfaces:
-of the exhaust gas recirculation solenoid valve if it
is being reused,
-of the exhaust gas recirculation mounting on the
gearbox side.
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a Refit:
-a new seal on the exhaust gas recirculation sole-
noid valve,
-the exhaust gas recirculation solenoid valve.
a Torque tighten the exhaust gas recirculation sole-
noid valve bolts (10 N.m).
a Connect the exhaust gas recirculation solenoid val-
ve connector.
III - FINAL OPERATION
a Connect the oil vapour rebreathing pipe onto the
rocker cover.
a Refit the engine cover.
a Apply the after repair procedure using the diagnos-
tic tool :
-connect the diagnostic tool,
-select "Injection computer",
-go to repair mode,
-display the "Before/after repair procedure" for the
computer selected,
-select "Exhaust gas recirculation solenoid valve" in
the "List of components controlled by this compu-
ter" section,
-carry out the operations described in the "After re-
pair procedure" section.
