a Remove the turbocharger outlet exhaust gas duct
(see 12B, Turbocharging, Turbocharger outlet
exhaust gas duct: Removal - Refitting, page 12B-
49) .
II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED
a Remove:
-the exhaust gas recirculation rigid pipe clip (11)
from the exhaust manifold,
-the exhaust gas recirculation rigid pipe clip (12)
from the exhaust gas recirculation assembly,
-the EGR rigid pipe.
REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
a parts always to be replaced: Exhaust gas recir-
culation rigid pipe (11,07,01,08).
a parts always to be replaced: Exhaust gas recir-
culation pipe clip (11,07,01,14).
a Using ABRASIVE PADS, clean the bearing face of:
-the exhaust manifold,
-the exhaust gas recirculation assembly support.
a Using SURFACE CLEANER (see Vehicle: Parts
and ingredients for the repairwork) (04B, Consu-
mables - Products) and CLEAN CLOTHS, degrease
the bearing face of:
- the exhaust manifold,
- the exhaust gas recirculation assembly support.
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a Fit the new exhaust gas recirculation rigid pipe.
a Refit a new exhaust gas recirculation rigid pipe clip
on:
- the exhaust manifold,
- the exhaust gas recirculation assembly support.
III - FINAL OPERATION
a Refit the turbocharger outlet exhaust gas duct (see
12B, Turbocharging, Turbocharger outlet ex-
haust gas duct: Removal - Refitting, page 12B-
49) .
a Refit:
- the turbocharger air outlet pipe clip to the turbo-
charger air outlet pipe,
- the turbocharger air outlet pipe to the turbocharger.
a Fit the intermediate air pipe between the turbochar-
ger and the intercooler.
a Refit the clip for the intermediate air pipe between
the turbocharger and the intercooler.
a Clip the intermediate air pipe between the turbochar-
ger and the intercooler onto the turbocharger air out-
let pipe.
a Refit:
- the nut of the intermediate air pipe between the tur-
bocharger and the intercooler,
- the bolt of the intermediate air pipe between the
turbocharger and the intercooler,
- the turbocharger air inlet pipe,
- he turbocharger air inlet pipe bolts on the turbo-
charger.
a Connect the oil vapour rebreathing pipe onto the
rocker cover.
a Refit the turbocharger air inlet pipe bolt onto the ex-
haust gas recirculation assembly.
a Clip the turbocharging pressure regulation solenoid
valve hose onto the turbocharger air inlet pipe.
a Refit the air outlet pipe onto the air filter unit.
