Alternator: Removal - Refitting

a Remove the lower bolts (5) from the front end panel.
a Tilt the front end panel slightly towards the front of
the vehicle.
a Remove the intercooler air outlet pipe (see 12B,
Turbocharging, Intercooler air outlet pipe: Re-
moval - Refitting, page 12B-56) .
II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED
a Disconnect the alternator connector (6) .
a Remove the nut (7) on the alternator positive termi-
nal.
a Move aside the alternator wiring.
a Remove:
- the alternator bolts (8) ,
- the alternator.
a Move the alternator away from the multifunction sup-
port using a screwdriver.
