Code
Item Symptom Possible Cause Remarks
Imaging process SC50 OPC home mark detection error The OPC home mark sensor stays on
longer than normal. The OPC home
mark, which should be 6 mm in the
forward direction, is detected as 20
mm or more.
Defective OPC home mark sensor or
there is flaw related to the OPC home
mark.
SC51 No OPC home mark The OPC home mark sensor stays off.
The OPC home mark does not come
within one belt cycle.
Dirty OPC home mark sensor surface,
dirty home mark surface, or tracking
operation error.
SC52 Wire cleaner drive error The lock signal (detection signal for
the cleaner hitting the endblock) is not
produced within 30 seconds from
when the motor starts turning.
Defective motor or drive board or
disconnected connector.
Even when this condition is detected,
Error reset # 52 is not displayed.
However, the status code is recorded
in the logging data of the service tools.
SC55 OPC motor drive error at OPC
cleaning mode
During the OPC cleaning operation,
no encoder pulse is produced from
the OPC motor. The OPC cleaning is
stopped and the copier enters the
copy standby condition. At the next
power ON, the OPC cleaning is tried
again and the same procedure is
repeated.
Overload of the OPC motor due to an
abnormal operation of the OPC
cleaning brush roller, defective OPC
motor, or defective main/OPC motor
drive board.
Even when this condition is detected,
Error reset # 55 is not displayed.
However, the status code is recorded
in the logging data of the service tools.
Paper feed SC60 First tray drive error When the tray motor rotates
continuously for 20 seconds or more,
there is no output from the paper
volume sensor.
Overload of the tray motor or load
side, defective tray motor, upper limit
sensor, paper set sensor,k or tray
motor DC drive board, or the tray lift
wire broken.
SC61 Second tray drive error Same as above. Same as above.
SC62 Third tray drive error Same as above. Same as above.
SC63 Large capacity tray (LCT) drive error Same as above. Overload of the tray motor or load
side, defective tray motor, upper limit
sensor, paper end sensor, overrun
switch, or LCT control board, or the
tray lift chain broken.
SC64 LCT back fenced drive error When the back fence doesn’t return to
the home position within 5 seconds.
Drive belt slid off or defective home
position sensor (unchanged low
output form CN302-9B on the paper
feed control board).
Duplex SC70 Jogger (side) fences drive error The home position sensor is not
activated within a certain period.
Overload of the fence drive motor or
load side, defective motor, home
position sensor, paper feed control
board, jogger motor drive board, or
