82 Problem: Transmission error to the operation unit. A communication error.

Cause: Disconnected fiber cable, disconnection, reverse setting or defective operation control
board. Connection or disconnection with the power ON.
88 Problem: Sequence error (sequence fails to respond)
89 Problem: Total counter error. No count signal is given.
Cause: Defective counter, connector, or driver.
91 Problem: Non-volatile memory error (when backup battery voltage drops below 2.5V)
Cause: Battery short circuit during ROM replacement.
99 Problem: Control system error (finisher, ADF, or LCT communication error).
2.15.6 Troubleshooting
Problem Probable Cause
Error reset #30 lights (in this case, yellow wire side of the door
switch is defective), or SC#3 lights (in this case, blue wire side is
defective).
The ac line of each door switch is defective.
There is no display. Paper feed DC power supply is defective.
The development motor does not run and the copy image is blank. Development DC power supply is defective.
Error reset #84 lights. ADF DC power supply is defective.
No display for operation unit. LEDs on the main control board do
not light.
Defective DC power supply (upper part).
Error reset #30 lights. Defective DC power supply (lower part).
Paper feed: Error reset #81
Finisher: Error reset #94
Operation: No display for operation unit.
Optical fiber cable on the main control board is disconnected.
Error reset #81 lights or operation error in ADF. Original jam or
size detection failure.
The optical fiber cable connectors for the ADF and paper feed are
conversely set on the main control board.
Error reset #48 lights. No. 48 is not used so data logging cannot
be done in the service tool.
The optical fiber cable from the operation unit to the main control
board is inserted in the connector for the ADF on the main control
board.
