2.4.7 Error reset
SC10 Problem: When a charge output leak occurs, this stops output of the charge corona and grid. When a
grid output leak occurs, only the grid output stops.
When a charge or grid leakage occurs the first time, the paper feed jam indicator (location A)
stays ON on the display panel. (In case of a real paper jam, the indicator blinks, but it does
not stay ON.) This is not counted as a paper feed jam in the logging data, but as an SC in
the [3-07] screen. After that, SC 10 will be indicated on the display panel if the leakage oc-
curs more two times (three times total) in 100 continuous copies.
Cause: Dirt on the wire, end block and casing contaminated (by toner, paper dust, hair, etc.), wire
broken or cut.
SC52 Problem: Cleaner motor operation error. A lock signal is not generated within 30 seconds from when
the motor turns ON. Error reset display does not function and only logging is counted in the
service tool [3-07].
Cause: Cleaner motor failure, broken motor connection, DC drive board failure.
2.4.8 Troubleshooting
Problem Probable Cause
VD and VL show 994 volts. This may cause: Black image copy,
developer scattering, OPC damage due to developer scattering,
or SC13 (PCC leakage).
