2.12.2 Fusing pressure mechanism
The pressure springs press the pressure roller against
the hot roller. The pressure adjusting screw is used to
change how strongly the pressure lever presses against
the shaft of the pressure roller.
When the roller is replaced, turn the pressure release
screw counterclockwise to remove it. Move the
pressure lever to the right to release the pressure.
The pressure roller is surfaced with a Teflon tube to
prevent swelling.
2.12.3 Oil supply mechanism
Oil is applied directly to the hot roller from the oil supply
pad. The rubber metering blade gives the surface a
uniform coat of oil as it scrapes excess oil from the roller
surface. Excess oil collects in the upper oil pan.
