–Danger of impact and slide: do
not use the lifting device to get
near or onto machine parts (e.g.
rotary table) when the machine is
operating.
–Danger of falling or protruding objects: do not use the machine at a speed that is
not correct for the product to be wrapped.
If the packs to be wrapped contain unstable or dangerous elements, set suita-
ble safety measures (for instance perimeter guards) in order to avoid injuries
to people.
3.6. REASONABLY FORESEEABLE WRONG USE
–The machine must be EXCLUSIVELY used in order to wrap and stabilise products
contained in packs (boxes, containers for liquids, etc.), having a regular shape or a
shape that allows for stable palletising.
The packs that contain liquids or insubstantial materials must be suitable for the
product and must be perfectly closed and tight in order to prevent any leaks of the
content.
–If the machine is used for different purposes other than those provided for by the
Manufacturer, this use is to be considered WRONG. Do not use the machine improp-
erly, but only for the purposes indicated by the Manufacturer.
–Do not use the machine to wrap or stabilise living beings (animals or persons).
–Do not use the machine as a lifting device or support plane for working activities (for
example as a work bench).
–Do not stretch or pre-stretch the film excessively with an excessive number of wrap-
pings in order not to damage the packs and the products contained.
3.7. INFORMATION AND SAFETY SIGNALS
Some among these signals are affixed to the machine; their locations are detailed in
§ 2.5 together with the relative explanations.
–It shows the hooking points for chain lifting.
–It shows the insertion points for the lifting forks.
