WARNING
Incorrect patient results due to electromagnetic and electrostatic interferences
Strong electromagnetic fields (originating from unshielded radio-frequency sources) and
electrostatic discharges can interfere with proper operation and may lead to malfunction of
the system and incorrect results.
r Evaluate the electromagnetic environment before you operate the system.
r Do not use the analyzer near sources of strong electromagnetic fields.
r Take measures to mitigate these interferences.
r Keep the main door of the analyzer closed during operation.
r If there is considerable paint chipping on the main door or the main door does not
close properly, contact Roche Technical Support.
It is important to place your analyzer in an appropriate location that is convenient for
performing measurements and meets the following physical requirements of the unit:
o Ambient temperature: +15 °C to +32 °C.
o Avoid exposure to direct sunlight, vibration and strong electromagnetic fields
(electric motors, transformers, X-ray equipment, cellular phones, etc.).
o Use a stable and level work surface.
o Maximum relative humidity of 85% (15% - 85%).
o Ample room to allow air to circulate freely around the unit.
o Avoid exposure to explosive gases or vapors.
o Check for the correct voltage: 100–240 VAC, 50/60 Hz.
Next, perform the following steps to ensure that the instrument is ready for
operation:
o Refer to the packing slip to make sure that you have received all of the parts and
components that are part of the delivery of the analyzer.
o If there are any missing parts or components, contact your Roche Service
representative immediately.
If the instrument was damaged during its shipment, immediately inform your
delivery company. Retain all packaging materials and products as this may be needed
as evidence in the event of a damage claim.
