infection.

down.
r Take care not to puncture yourself.

WARNING
Risk of instrument damage or wrong results due to ESD discharge
Considerable electrostatic discharge can be emitted from contacting the metallic
components of the analyzer.
r Do not remove any cover of the analyzer except those covers specified in the
instructions.
r If it is probable that you will come into contact with metallic components of the
analyzer, touch the discharge point of the analyzer (see Analyzer components (p. 69))
before performing any action on the analyzer.
Before performing the first sample of the day, the 9180 Electrolyte Analyzer needs to
undergo a simple cleaning and conditioning procedure that ensures the analyzer will
perform properly.
q
If cleaning and/or conditioning has not been performed within the last 24 hours, the
analyzer will automatically print out on each sample report: Perform Daily Maintenance!
q
If fewer than 5 samples are analyzed on average each day, cleaning should be performed
weekly instead of daily (see Weekly maintenance (p. 135)).
