5 Handling the evaluation unit
5.1 User qualifications
This chapter describes how to operate the GM35 measuring system using the evaluation
unit. The evaluation unit is available with sheet metal housing (class of protection IP 65) or
cast metal housing (class of protection IP 67). The activities described in this chapter can
be carried out by qualified, in-house operating personnel. To configure the parameters with
the program, however, detailed knowledge of the measuring system, measuring technique,
and the specific measuring task is required.
5.2 Controls
The evaluation unit of the analysis system is designed for displaying, entering, and configur-
ing system parameters and control functions. The control panel, with display, status LEDs,
and keypad, is accessed by opening the door on the housing.
