Safety Precautions
For safe and correct use, be sure to read the Safety Precautions in this manual before using the scanners.
LED Safety
The product is fitted with LEDs of risk group 0. The accessible radiation from these LEDs does not pose a danger
to the eyes or skin.
Laser Safety (only IDM261)
The product is fitted with LEDs of risk group 0. The accessible radiation from these LEDs does not pose a danger
to the eyes or skin.
CAUTION
Optical radiation: Class 1 Laser Product
The accessible radiation does not pose a danger when viewed directly for up to 100 seconds. It may pose a
danger to the eyes and skin in the event of incorrect use.
Do not open the housing. Opening the housing may increase the level of risk.
Current national regulations regarding laser protection must be observed.
Caution – Use of controls or adjustments or performance of procedures other than those specified herein may
result in hazardous radiation exposure.
It is not possible to entirely rule out temporary disorienting optical effects, particularly in conditions of dim lighting.
Disorienting optical effects may come in the form of dazzle, flash blindness, afterimages, photosensitive epilepsy,
or impairment of color vision, for example.
Safety Precautions for Lithium Batteries
There is risk of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same type of battery.
Recycle or dispose of battery in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Keep battery away from direct sunlight, high temperature, and high humidity.
Keep battery away from metal objects.
Do not connect the battery’s positive and negative terminals to each other with any metal object.
Do not disassemble, modify, or damage the battery.
