Deleting Scanned Data
The scanner is set by default to retain all stored data until scanning the Clear All Stored Data barcode. However,
you can change the setting to Auto Delete Stored Data after Transmission by scanning the corresponding
barcode below. You can revert back to the default setting by scanning the Keep Stored Data after Transmission
barcode.

The last scanned data can be deleted by reading the Delete Last Scanned Data barcode.

4.2 Validation Scanning
Validation Scanning mode enables a scanner to record reference data (“master data”) and compare them to
subsequently captured data. Should they not be a match, the scanner will beep 3 times as warning. This mode is
perfect for data verification assignments.
To activate validation scanning mode, scan the Enter Validation Scanning barcode below. The scanner will emit
3 short beeps and thereafter, its status indicator will flash green every 2.5 seconds. Scan the Exit Validation
Scanning barcode to leave this mode; the scanner will beep 3 times to confirm a successful exit.
