The SINIX/windows graphical user interface is not started if you enter no
in the Start via xdm field. Instead, the login mask is displayed in ANSI
mode.
Graphics Mode A mode is a compilation of several parameters:
– resolution (height and width of the visible image in
pixels),
– depth (number of bits per pixel),
– vertical refresh rate in Hertz.
We recommend the following resolution as ergonomic
setting (e.g. to prevent eye strain), depending on the size of
the monitor.
Resolution:
33 cm (14") monitor: 640x480
35 cm (15") monitor: 800x600
40 cm (17") monitor: 1024x768
50 cm (21") monitor: 1280x1024
Default Visual recommended entry: PseudoColor
If the Graphics Mode field contains an entry with more than
8 bits/pixel, then: TrueColor
Start via xdm recommended entry: yes
With this entry the SINIX/windows graphical user interface
is started each time the system is powered on..
