• The optical reader is controlled via PROFINET IO/PROFIBUS DP-V1 using the Ident profile
block by the S7 controller.
• The result is output via PROFINET IO/PROFIBUS DP-V1 to the S7 controller.
• The optical reader is supplied with power via the communication module.
• The optical reader is triggered either via digital I/O, S7 controller or via the built-in auto-
trigger function.
• A PC/PG is connected via the Ethernet interface to allow adjustment of the device.

Note
Power supply using "Power over Ethernet" (PoE)
supplied by PoE, for example when connected to a
SCALANCE X108POE, the Power IO RS232 cable is not needed.
