7.9.3 Parameterizing the High Feature 3RW5 HMI
Requirements
● Access protection to 3RW5 HMI High Feature is not active or has been reset
● You are in menu "Parameters > HMI".
Procedure
Select a parameter.
The menus "Response after Logoff" and "Message Display" and "Status Display" contain
further menu items, which you can switch to with "OK".

Local interface
• Local interface enabled
(factory setting)
• Local interface disabled
The local interface of the 3RW5 HMIs High Feature is
enabled or disabled. Before you can connect a PC with
SIRIUS Soft Starter ES (TIA Portal) to the 3RW52 soft
starter via the local interface, the local interface must be
enabled.
Timer Lighting Dark
• 5 min (factory setting)
• Setting range: 0 ... 60 min
• 0 min = deactivated
If no key is pressed on the 3RW5 HMI High Feature, the
brightness of the background lighting switches off after a
specified time has elapsed.
Do Control After Logoff Continue with motor control
(factory setting)
3RW5 HMI High Feature is still the master control.
Stop motor and give back control The motor stops and the 3RW5 HMI High Feature is no
longer the master control.
Message display Fault

The settings of the message display define which messages
will be displayed as a pop-up window on the display of the
3RW5 HMI High Feature.
