4.2 Connecting the 3RW52 soft starter
Requirements
● Observe the conductor cross-sections and tightening torques in the data sheet or on the
front beneath the hinged cover.
● Pay attention to the required tools indicated on the front beneath the hinged cover.
● Optional accessories:
– Terminal cover for 3RW52 soft starter with sizes 2, 3, and 4
Procedure

Hazardous voltage.
Will cause death or serious injury.
Turn off and lock out all power supplying this device before working on this device.
1. Connect the main circuit connections (line side / motor side) of the 3RW52 soft starter.

2. Optionally mount the terminal covers for sizes 2 / 3 / 4. (Page 66)
3. Connect up the control terminals of the 3RW52 soft starter.
