A.2.7 Connecting the temperature sensor
Requirements
● 3RW52 soft starter with thermistor motor protection
● Motor with temperature switch (e.g. Thermoclick) or thermistor (e.g. PTC type A)
Procedure
1. Remove the copper link between terminals T11 / T21 and T22.
2. Connect the temperature sensor:
Temperature switch at terminals T21-T22 Thermistor at terminals T11-T12
Result
The 3RW52 soft starter monitors the motor for excessive temperature. The motor is shut
down if the maximum temperature limit is exceeded. The setting for RESET MODE
determines how the motor is restarted.
