Using the scanning footswitch

In interventional CT examinations, a scan is always controlled
with the footswitch in the examination room.

For radiation protection please refer to (→ Page A.2-22 Radia-
tion protection).

You can use the scanning footswitch and the buttons on the
gantry control panel in parallel.

Triggering the scan

✧ Press the footswitch and keep it pressed.
The scan is performed for as long as the footswitch remains
pressed.

Terminating the scan

✧ Release the footswitch.
Scanning is terminated. The system is again ready to scan.
