Ventilation openings

Blocked ventilation slots can cause damage to the equipment
and loss of data (computer).

✧ Make sure that the ventilation openings on the equipment
are not covered, e.g., by cloths.

In the event of a fire, you must know how to use fire extinguish-
ers and where the escape routes are.

Switching on and off

Improper shutdown can damage the equipment and cause loss
of data (on the computer).

✧ Always switch the unit on and off in the prescribed fashion.

sible. Risk of gas poisoning caused by burning plastic.

✧ Switch off the acquisition system in the event of fire.
✧ Make sure that you and the patient know where the escape
routes are.
✧ Make sure that you know where the fire extinguishers are
located and familiarize yourself with the use of them.
