HOW TO USE PREFIX KEYS TO DISPLAY SYSTEM POINTS
The first key press from the ENTRY Keypad must be a prefix key press. The prefix selects one of the following: input/
output points, MAPNET II@ points, digital pseudo points, analog pseudo points, list pseudo points, or point address
format. In response to the first key press, the type of input requested is displayed. The display below shows an I/O
Zone input for the first key press (Key 5 for this example).

A complete listing of system points is located within the Programmer’s Report. Each system point has an associated
Custom Label which identifies a specific location within the building. Pseudo points have Custom Labels which
identify their purpose.
Shown below is an example of a Programmer’s Report entry describing a MAPNET@ point.
M2-1
3RD FLOOR EAST WING ROOM 13 SMOKE
MBZAM
The “M2” identifies the MAPNET@ card or channel; the “-1” identifies the device. The custom label is “3RD FLOOR
EAST WING, ROOM 13”. When entering MAPNET@ Zone Names, a hyphen must be used to separate the channel
from the device.
