This board is referred to as an “RIG Card” (Remote [Serial] Interface Card) elsewhere in this publication, as
well as in the 4100 Fire Alarm Parts List (FA4-81-218).
Features and Functions
Provides a communication link via an RAI Card between the Master Controller Board and remote LED/Switch
Controllers or Graphic I/O Cards.

The RIC Card and the device that plugs into it (LED/Switch Controller or Graphic I/O Card) must occupy the same
cabinet.
l
Includes a “local piezo” which can be hard-wired to sound in event of communications failure or switch
operation.

Pins P2-1 through P2-4 and P3-1 through P3-4 on the first LED/Switch Controller or Graphic I/O Card’s
motherboard are unused.
