Features and Functions
Provides a means to output the internal serial communication port external of the panel up to 2500 feet.

The external serial port is half duplex and can be configured three ways:
1. 9600 baud internal; 9600 baud external (default)
2. 9600 baud internal; 1200 baud external
3. 1200 baud internal; 1200 baud external.

The RUI supports Class A, Class B, and Style 7 (when used with the RIC II) operation.
l
Compatible with the Remote Interface Controller (565-233).

LEDs
LED1 lights when there is a Slave trouble from a connected Miniplex Transponder.
LED2 lights when there is a Class A trouble on the communications line.
LED3 lights when there is a XMIT short trouble.

Class A w/o RIC II remote or Class B = on steady until short is removed.

Class A w/RIG II remote or Style 7 = on only if short is between RUI and the first RIC II.
LED4 lights when there is a Class A XMIT short trouble.

Class A w/o RIC II remote or Class B = on steady until short is removed.

Class A w/RIG II remote or Style 7 = on only short is between RUI and the first RIC II.
SW1 is an 8-position DIP switch used to set address and baud rate.
SW1 -1 = Baud rate select switch.

ON = 9600 baud.

OFF = 1200 baud.
