conguredtospecifyitscommunication
channelandwhichmeasurementsto
make.Thisisspeciallyimportantifyou
wishtouseseveralsensorstooperateon
differentcommunicationchannels.This
isalsoimportanttoavoidinterferenceif
severalvesselsequippedwithidentical
catchmonitoringsystemsareoperating
simultaneouslyinthesamearea.
Sensorcongurationisnormallyperformed
byauthorizedKongsbergMaritimeAS
technicians.However,individualwithbasic
computerskillsandaccesstothenecessaryequipmentshouldnotnditdifcult.Youneed
aspecialinterfaceunitorcabletodothecongurationtaskyourself.

TheTV80onlyallowsyoutocongurePXsensors.Ifyouwishtouseoldersensors(notPX
family),thesemustbeconguredusingtheirdedicatedapplicationsbefore
youaddthem.
TheAddNewSensordialogboxstartsa"wizard"toaddanewcatchmonitoringsensorto
yourTV80system.Dependingonyourinitialchoice,differentroutesarepresented.Inthe
rstdialogbox,thefollowingoptionsareprovided.

SelectY esifyouhaveanewsensorthatneedstobeconguredbeforeuse.
ThenewsensormustbeconnectedtotheProcessorUnitwithadedicatedinterfaceunit
orcable.Dedicateddialogboxesareprovidedtocongurethenewsensor.

nextdialogboxinthe"wizard"allowsyoutochoosewhichsensortypetoadd.

channelsyouwishtoreceivetheinformationon,andhowoftenthisinformationshall
bereceived(updaterate).
