Selectthereceivertobeusedtoreceivethespecicsensordata.Thetypeorreceiver
youselectheremustbetheoneyouconnectittowhenputtingthesensortowork
orcommunicationwontbeestablished.
SelectPosition
ThegearillustrationcorrespondstotheoneyouchoseinSelectGearintheInstallation
dialogbox.Itshowsthepossiblelocationsoftheselectedsensor.Thecapitalletter
indicateswhereyoucanplacetheselectedsensor.
Communicationchannel
AllsensorsareprovidedbyKongsbergMaritimeASwithpredenedcommunication
channels.Thepredenedcommunicationchannelwillalwaysbeshownasthedefault
channel.Itmayberequiredtochangeoneormorecommunicationchannels,andthere
maybemanyreasonsforthis.
•Youhavemorethanoneofeachsensor.Forexample,ifyouhavethreetemperature
sensors,theyMUSTcommunicateonthreedifferentchannels.
•Othervesselsnearyoursusethesamecatchmonitoringsystem(orsimilar)and
theyhaveoneormoreoftheirsensorssetuptothesamecommunicationchannels
asyouhave.Thiswillcreateinterferenceasyouwill“read”othersensors.
Outputpower
Ahighoutputpowermayalsoprovideaddedrangecapacity.Thehigherthepower
output,thelowerthebatterycapacity.Thedefaultvalueisshownwithanasterisk.
Verticalresolution
Youcancontroltheverticalresolutionoftheechogram.Theverticalresolutionofa
PXTrawlEyeisrelatedtothenumberofvertical“pixels”sentfromthesensorforeach
ping.Bydefault,thevalueis“High”.Thedefaultvalueisshownwithanasterisk.
UpdateRate
ThisparameterisusedtoselecthowoftentheTV80canexpecttoreceiveinformation
fromthesensor.TheUpdateRateparameterisveryimportant.Afasterupdaterate
givesyouinformationmoreoften,butwilldecreasethebatterylife.Thedefaultvalue
isshownwithanasterisk.
Range
TheRangeparameterdeneshow“far”youwanttheTrawlEyetodetectechoes.The
rangeisdenedfromaselectedstartrange,anddowntoavaluelessthanthecurrent
bottomdepthoradistanceinhorizontaldirectioninthewater.
