13.3 Amalgam rotor
The message AMALGappears on the display when the
amalgam rotor needs to be replaced, i.e., once it has
reached a filling level of 95 % (see the document "Care
and Cleaning by the Practice Team").
A continuous sound indicates that the rotor is full and
no longer functioning properly.
An intermittent sound indicates a system error. The
water supply is interrupted. Please contact your service
engineer.
The rotor inside the amalgam separator must be re-
placed at least once a year, even if the AMALG message
does not light up. Otherwise, unpleasant odors can
develop.
13.4 Disinfection system (optional)
When the message DESINF flashes on the dentist ele-
ment display during treatment, you should refill 1 liter of
DENTOSEPT P at the latest after the end of the treat-
ment day.
When the message flashes, it is not possible to perform
sanitation.
Remove the cover behind the cuspidor and pour in 1 liter
of DENTOSEPT P.
The filler trough should always be kept clean. Always
make sure that no tap water enters the filler trough!
DENTOSEPT P:
1 case = 6 x 1 liter, REF 33 18 156
Only for Canada:
1 carton = 6 x 1 liter, REF 59 69 535
Microbiological water test (after an operating pause of
more than 1 week)
Sanitation of the treatment center
Perform sanitation every 4 weeks. This is the only way
to effectively combat the formation of biofilm in the water
paths (see the document "Care and Cleaning by the
Practice Team").
