TheSky Professional offers additional software modules and astronomical databases.
TheSky Databases module offers over 180 GB of additional astronomical catalogs including the Gaia DR3
and APASS, and access to the complete 10x compression Digitized Sky Survey.
Getting Help
If you have questions about your Paramount, please first carefully review the Paramount Quick Start Guide
(a printed copy is included in the mount’s accessories box) and the information in this document. If you
still cannot find an answer, please visit the Software Bisque website (https://www.bisque.com). Click My
account, Register if you have not registered, then click My account, Log in to log in. For here, drop down
the Support menu, navigate to the appropriate support forum and the click Create a New Topic graphic.
Type your question in the Create New Topic form and click Submit when done. If your post does not
immediately appear, you may need to wait for a moderator to approve it.
Software Bisque does its best to monitor our forums between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mountain Time Monday-
Friday and tries to respond to questions within 3-5 business days. Our knowledgeable community
members are there to help outside regular office hours.
What You Need to Know
Successful operation of a Paramount requires a solid understanding of basic astronomy concepts, a
familiarity with operating a GEM, as well as a working knowledge of TheSky Professional.
If you are new to the Paramount, operating a GEM, or just getting into astronomy, please peruse the
following section. Based on years of support feedback, even experienced observers often do not
understand fundamental concepts as they relate to operating a Paramount. After reading the following
section, you should be able to answer the questions below.
