Mounting the telescope to the Versa-Plate is
relatively simple.
Hardware is available, or integrated into
telescopes from several different
manufacturers, including:
o ADM Accessories
o Celestron International
o Losmandy Astronomical Products
o Meade Instruments
o Officina Stellare
Dovetails are not as rigid
as telescope mounting
rings. This can introduce
flexures that may degrade
overall pointing accuracy
and repeatability.
Software Bisque
OTA Mounting
Rings
Extremely rigid mount-to-telescope
attachment.
Allows multiple optics to be rigidly attached
to the Versa-Plate.
More expensive.
