OFF.
DIAGNOSIS:
TROUBLE SYMPTOM:
The CHECK ENGINE malfunction indicator lamp
(MIL)
circuit is shorted.
Although
MIL
comes on when the engine runs, trouble code is not shown on the Subaru select monitor
or OBD-ll general scan
tool
display.

Step
1
CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN COMBINA-
TlON METER AND ECM CONNECTOR.
1)Turn the ignition switch
to
OFF.
2)Disconnect the connector from ECM.
3)Turn the ignition switch
to
ON.
Check
Does the
MIL
come on?
