Suzuki LT-Z250 - Exhaust Pipe Nuts and Muffler Bolts; Valve Clearance

EXHAUST PIPE NUTS AND MUFFLER
BOLTS
 Tighten the exhaust pipe nuts
1 and muffler mounting bolts/
nuts

 Remove the right footrest mud guard. (!7-7)
 Tighten the muffler connecting bolt
3.
# Exhaust pipe nut: 23 N•m (2.3 kgf-m, 16.5 lb-ft)
Muffler connecting bolt: 23 N•m (2.3 kgf-m, 16.5 lb-ft)
Muffler mounting bolt/nut: 23 N•m (2.3 kgf-m, 16.5 lb-ft)
VALVE CLEARANCE
Excessive valve clearance results in valve noise and insufficient
valve clearance results in valve damage and reduced power.
Check the intake and exhaust valve clearances at the distances
indicated above and adjust the valve clearances to specification,
if necessary.
 Remove the fuel tank. (!5-3)
 Remove the spark plug. (!2-7)
$ 09930-10121: Spark plug wrench set
 Remove the valve timing inspection plug
1 and generator
cover cap
2.
Tighten initially at 1 month and every 3 months there-
after.
Inspect initially at 1 month and every 3 months there-
after.
