ENGINE REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
ENGINE REMOVAL
Before taking the engine out of the frame, wash the engine
using a steam cleaner. Engine removal is sequentially explained
in the following steps.
• Drain engine oil. (2-9)
• Remove the frame center cover. (5-5)
MUFFLER
• Remove the exhaust pipe nuts.
• Remove the muffler mounting bolt.
• Remove the muffler 1.
FOOTREST
• Remove the left footrest 1.
CARBURETOR
• Turn the fuel valve 1 to “ON” position.
• Remove the fuel hose 2.
• Loosen the intake pipe clamp bolt 3.
• Remove the drain hose 4 from the clamp.
