• Loosen the lock-nut 1 of the throttle cable.
• Turn the adjuster 2 in or out to obtain the correct play.
• After adjusting the throttle cable play, tighten the locknut 1.
Throttle cable play: 3 – 5 mm (0.12 – 0.20 in)

ENGINE IDLE SPEED
• Adjust the throttle cable play. (2-10)
• Warm up the engine.
NOTE:
Make this adjustment when the engine is hot.
• Start the engine, turn the throttle stop screw 1 and set the
engine idle speed as follows.
Engine idle speed: 2 000 ± 150 r/min.
DRIVE BELT
REMOVAL
• Remove the left frame cover. (5-4)
• Remove the left footrest 1.
• Remove the CVT case cover 2.
After the adjustment is completed, check that handle-
bar movement does not raise the engine idle speed
and that the throttle lever returns smoothly and auto-
matically.
Inspect initially at 1 month and every 3 months there-
after.
Inspect every 3 months.
Replace every 6 months.
