Theradioisdesignedtosatisfytheapplicablecomplianceregulations.Donotmakemodificationsorchangestothe
radiothatarenotexpresslyapprovedbyTait.Failuretodosocouldinvalidatecompliancerequirementsandvoidthe
user’sauthoritytooperatetheradio.
Attaching of labels
Do not obstruct the vent hole on the battery or the vent hole on the radio chassis
label. If the vent on the battery is obstructed, the battery may explode, causing per-
sonal injury and/or damage to property. If the vent on the radio is obstructed,
audio quality and/or key function may deteriorate and radio seals may be dam-
aged.
Caution Taitrecommendsthatyoudonotaffixadditionallabelstothesurfacesbetweentheradio
chassisandthebattery.Thefitbetweenthesesurfacesisintentionallyfirmandanyaddedthickness
willdamagethepointsofattachmentbetweenradioandbattery.Ifyoumustattachacustomized
label,useonlyathingummedpaperlabelappliedtothebottom25%oftheradiochassislabeland/or
tothetop25%ofthebatterylabel.Donotobstructtheventholes(seeWarningabove).Donotallow
thepaperlabeltoextendbeyondtherecessedlabelareaortoconcealrelevantproductinformation.
Use of lithium-ion batteries
A damaged battery can cause an explosion or fire, and can result in personal
injury and/or property damage. To prevent personal injury and/or damage to prop-
erty, read the important safety information supplied with the battery.
