Attaching labels to the radio or battery
Do not cover the battery vent hole or the vent hole on the radio chassis. If the vent
on the battery is obstructed, the battery may explode, causing personal injury
and/or damage to property. If the vent on the radio is obstructed, audio quality
and/or key function may deteriorate and radio seals may be damaged.

Notice Taitrecommendsthatadditionallabelsarenotappliedtothesurfacesbetweentheradio
chassisandthebattery.Thefitbetweenthesesurfacesisintentionallyfirmandanyaddedthickness
willdamagethepointsofattachmentbetweenradioandbattery.
Ifacustomerrequiresacustomizedlabel,useonlyathingummedpaperlabelwithamaximumthicknessof1/32inch
(0.1mm).Attachthecustomizedlabelinthesparelabelrecessinthechassis(ifavailable),oroveranexistinglabel.
Thecustomizedlabelmaybeappliedtothebottom25%oftheradiochassislabeland/ortothetop25%ofthebattery
label.
Donotobstructthebatteryventhole(seeWarningabove).Donotallowthepaperlabeltoextendbeyondthe
recessedlabelareaortoconcealrelevantproductinformation.
Attaching a label to the front panel
Ifacustomerrequiresanadditionallabel,attachthelabelinthesparelabelrecessinthebottomsurfaceoftheradio
frontpanel.Inthisposition,thelabelisstillvisiblewhilethebatteryisattachedtotheradio.
