Attaching a belt clip
To attach a belt clip to the radio:
1.Slidethebeltclipintothetwogroovesatthetopofthebattery.
2.Pressdownonthebeltclipuntilitsnapsintoplace.
Removing a belt clip
Thebeltcliphasbeendesignedtopreventaccidentalremoval,butitcanbe
removed,ifrequired.
Toremoveabeltclipfromabattery:
1.Insertaflatscrewdriverbladeorsimilarflatobjectunderthelip
ofthereleaselock(thatis,betweenitandthemetalslider).
2.Liftthereleaselockup(awayfromthemetalslider)andholdit
inposition.
3.Slidethebeltclipout.
Installing an audio accessory
Use only Tait-supplied, or Tait-approved audio accessories with Tait radios. Fitting
an audio accessory that is not Tait-approved exposes the customer to a risk of
explosion which could cause serious injury or death. For an up-to-date list of
approved audio accessories, contact your regional Tait office.
Audioaccessoriesplugintotheradio’saccessoryconnector.Theaccessoryconnectorisprotectedbyacover,which
needstoberemovedbeforeanaccessorycanbeinstalled.
Notice Theaccessorycoverprotectstheaccessoryconnectorfromelectrostaticdischarge.Keepthe
coverinplaceunlesstheconnectorisinuse.
To remove the accessory cover and install an audio accessory:
1.Useacoinorotherbluntobjecttoloosenthescrewthatsecurestheaccessorycovertotheradio.
2.Removetheaccessorycoverandstoreitinasafeplace.
